ABOUT KAILA

I’m Kaila the photographer behind Wild Ridge Photography, based in Calgary and Canmore. I grew up in a small mountain town in British Columbia, so the mountains are never far from my heart.

 

I believe photography is about storytelling. It has taught me that everybody has a unique story, and no two people are the same, we’re not supposed to be. That’s the beauty of being authentically yourself, and it’s my dream to bring that out in every client I work with.

 

I first fell in love with the art of photography by watching my Grandma photograph the world. I owe my passion to her for shining a light on this world and teaching me to notice the beauty that exists in everyday life.

 

I believe we choose how much light we allow into our lives. I’m inspired by growth, by learning, and by the decision to say yes to life a little more often. If you’re drawn to photographs that feel warm, adventurous, and authentic, I’d love to tell your story.
